Those who wanted him cut months ago need to apologize...

For the first time in forever, I will tip my cap in a good way to Juanny. He has been solid since that brutal first two months. I wish he still had his speed, though.

No love for Mark and his quality start?

Not arguing with the umpire here, but the track record tends to show that a starting pitcher pretty much has to throw eight or nine innings, and give up one run or less, to get the PTC. And still in those circumstances it's possible that a hitter with a good night might win it over the starting pitcher.

How often do Hawk, Stone and the crew pick a pitcher as the PTC? It's pretty much a hitters contest unless the starting pitcher is lights-out.

He gave up 3 runs. Juan was the catalyst early in the game driving the offense to produce those 6 runs and making BurlyMon's brainfart inning meaningless.
