He's a funny guy. To bad he can't manage for crap.

Before the White Sox's 9-2 win over Detroit on Thursday night before a crowd of 16,791 at Comerica Park, Manager Jerry Manuel joked that if the end result of Thomas being late to the ballpark last Sunday was a long winning streak, Manuel would make sure his designated hitter would be late again.

"I'll do something," Manuel said, laughing. "I'll slash his tires."

Manuel is incompetent. It seems as though every decision he makes is poor. I am dreading tomorrow's double-header. Two games in one day gives JM yet another opportunity to tinker with the Sox lineup. I would be surprised if he played Lofton in both games. The same goes for Valentin.

The Sox are going to have a difficult time winning anything until Manuel stops screwing around. If he would just use the same lineup for a few days in a row, he might be pleased with the results.
