I'm sure some will blame Kenny. (http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/30/padres-clayton-richard-undergoes-season-ending-shoulder-surgery/)

You forgot to add an unnecessary s to the end of his name.

Well, now he and Peavy have something in common.

More evidence of the fragile nature of so many of today's pitchers.

That's too bad. I always liked him.

Supposedly he was upset when they put him on the DL because he wanted to pitch through it, but it wasn't responding to treatment.

Good to see the fire in the belly. Too bad for him the Padres don't seem to be going anywhere.

But Dr. Phil said this was a horrible trade.

Just a few days ago in a column Phil said that the other three players involved in the deal didn't (or haven't) done well with San Diego. So at least he admitted that.

He's not Kerry Woods.

That Peavy trade hasn't helped either team. I guess San Diego can claim the deal gave them salary relief, but that package of players hasn't panned out that well for them.

He's not Kerry Woods.

He's also no Craig Maddox.:D:

Maybe Clayton got mad and injured his shoulder because he was repeatedly asked if his last name was pronounced Ri-shard and/or related to Maurice "The Rocket" Richard.

See?! I told you he was worth Peavy!
