That sure ended better and was far less controversial than this (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1822940) event several years back.

During one of the KC games this week I saw a guy walk over and give a kid the ball. (I was stuck watching the Royals feed.)

Saw this last night and thought it was great. I can't say that I'd be that willing to fork a ball over.

However, there are apparently commentators out there who have noted that an usher pointed Nicholas out to Ian and that's why he gave a ball back. Why is it that some people can't believe that there are good people out there, even kids?*

*This coming from someone who, in general, isn't a huge fan of people. LOL

It's a neat moment, but part of the shine wears off quickly when you realize the old-lady usher basically yelled at the kid and intimidated him into giving the ball to the younger child. The video is misleading because you think the kid is looking down at the other child who's sad when he decides to give the ball back, but really the kid is staring down at the nazi usher and never saw the sad child's reaction.

By the way, anyone who was watching the Sox-Royals game the other night might remember the older woman who had a bat basically torn out of her hands by younger woman who was on her cell phone. That video is now making the rounds:

It's really a shame that people think behavior like this is acceptable. That woman wasn't even paying attention to the game, yet she had the audacity to take a bat away from another fan. I'm glad incidents like these end up on video, just on the off-chance that this woman's friends and family can see the video, and know what kind of person that woman really is.
