WTG Sox fans, I'm happy for Paul and it's cool that the Sox will have more than just one representative in the game. Now let's hope Paul and TCQ have a great game and give the White Sox home field advantage in the World Series!

It's too bad Ethier didn't get in. Victorino is hurt and may not play. For every computer vote for Paulie, I voted for Ethier. Obviously, the Phillies put together an effective campaign and Paulie was a good choice. Either way, it's still adds up to a well-deserved honor for Paulie and another triumph for the big, bad Sox Army.

Thank goodness. He's far and away our best player, and it would have been criminal for him not to be included. He's clearly one of the top 5 hitters in the league by any standard this season.

He'll still get four nights in his 16,000-sq. ft. house.

That's been Hawk's line this year when Konerko gets a big hit.

Hawk says, "That's how you get 16,000 square foot house in Scottsdale!"

Although I haven't heard it in a while, so maybe Paul told him to knock it off.

Management should have killed that one the very first time he said it.

He still gets to return his much-discussed Scottsdale home for the All-Star break, though.

Konerko was snubbed by leaving him to the final vote. I wonder if he was snub was so intentionally to generate interest in the final vote.

Good deal. Congrats to Paulie!

:gulp:

Maybe next year they could leave off the Yankees backup catcher and put a guy on the team who actually deserves it.

Any time you can have that many appearances when you aren't on the Yankees or Red Sox, it is the sign that you're a good player.

Cheers to PK! :gulp:

But, but, but, I thought Sox fans didn't exist. How could this be?

Like a batting average, 30% is pretty damn good feat for us Sox fans! The White Sox Army is tough to beat. Way to go, Paulie!

PK just said on CSN that they were planning on going to their beach house in California.

Just curious....why do you think that?

Everyone knows he lives in Scottsdale. Everyone knows how much money he makes. I don't understand.

Cmon. Having a dumbass announcer talk about how big your house is? It's so insanely tacky.

Yes, we know how much money he makes. I highly doubt he would want an announcer bragging about it to fans every chance he gets.

I don't get the flub about his house. He's rich. Very rich. He lives in a great city. Do it. Guys are not obligated to live like misers. Congrats to Konerko, one of my favorite non Tigers. I like the way he's staying strong this late in his career. After 2008 at age 32 the "book" says he was a guy on the downside. He's proving the "book" wrong.

I don't think anyone is grudging Konerko a nice fancy house. The issue was Hawk Harrelson saying after Konerko HRs (paraphrasing here) "That's why he has a 16,000 sq ft house in Scottsdale!!!".

Nothing wrong with Paulie having a great house, but the way Hawk was announcing that just came off as tacky to some (including me).
