Not to put a damper on so much sarcasm because I'm enjoying some of it, but I'd like to see someone/anyone turn their season around. Dunn could be the best candidate. Would anyone like to contribute to the dramatic turnaround list?? ... be it player or team.

I would start with a pitcher called Contreras. Here was a guy who was a bum before the ASB. Many people were calling for his head. But then suddenly he became the number one pitcher in the league if only for a while... but it was at an important time. What happened to turn him around? Nothing but the all star break that I am aware of.

Dunn is the most likely candidate simply because of how consistent he has been in his career. In fact, if I were playing AL fantasy right now, I'd trade for him!

Maybe the '05 Astros would be the team to start the list. I'm not looking for hopeful turnarounds... we have a whole team of those. I'm looking for historic turnarounds.

Yes, the '83 Sox put it in high gear after the All-Star break. LaRussa moved Fisk into the #2 slot in the lineup and the starting rotation was practically unbeatable down the stretch.

In the first half of that 1983 season the Sox had the talent, but struggled to put it all together.

Maybe this season the Sox can do the same thing.

The Sox are a notoriously bad team in the 2nd half. The way it's gone so far this year, maybe it turns around for the better.

This season is far from over with the SOX only 5.5 out. The Tigers and Indians are flawed as well. But, they must turn it around fast. Winning the next three and getting back to .500 for the ASG would be a terrific start.

253-266 I believe is the record for Ozzie in the second half of the season for this coaching career.

The two times we played above .500 the second half of the year we went to the post season.

Only way were making it this year is over .500 ball. I have a lot of doubts.
