Buster Olney and Tim Kurkjian just mentioned on Baseball Tonight that JACK MCKEON is being considered as an interim manager. Take it for what it's worth...

Jack McKeon, 80, being considered as interim manager of the marlins, sources say. Also, Brandon Hyde.

That's an interesting thought. Has there ever been a manager that old?

Connie Mack managed until he was 87.

The Marlins are 3-20 since they swept the Giants in San Francisco. They were 29-19 with what looked to be a great offensive team and some very good pitching. I have no idea why management fired the hitting coach, but that has only made things worse. I don't know if Rodriquez is going to help. The players seem to have lost interest in playing winning baseball, and everything management has done has only made things worse.

I thought the Marlins had the best offensive talent in their division, but if things don't turn around, the Marlins will be heavily involved in the trade market this summer.

Guillen for Stanton sounds GREAT to me! Sox will even throw in Oney's tweets

Why not have them throw in Hanley, too?

The key point. There's a strong base of young talent there to succeed. They know that Loria is hot garbage.

It was joke and we do not need a SS.

As much as I love Alexei, I'd take Hanley over him in a second.

Indeed. Alexei is not at his level when Hanley's healthy.

I just read a tweet from Buster saying that McKeon was a possibility as an interim manager, but that Florida wants Ozzie for the long-term.

EDIT: Check that, it was Ken Rosenthal.

If you're watching Sunday Night Baseball, then yeah, I heard the same thing. I suppose we'll all know for sure by tomorrow...

ESPN reported it on their crawl. The man is 80 years old!

But was hired in late may as a 71-year old and led them to the World Series, so why not again? Fish stun MLB again, win the series, McKeon rides off into the sunset yet again. With a new stadium and a new brand--the Miami Marlins--the team will make a splash and sign Ozzie away. Miami and Sox fans both rejoice!

That would be great and all...except for the fact that Ozzie has a year remaining after this year, so the Marlins can't sign him unless the Sox can him, and I don't see that happening.

They can buy-out the remaining year or something.

Or in a trade!

Trader Jack is truly one of the games "Good Guys" and I'm glad to see him back in an active role, even at 80 years young.

The Fighting Fish need a new owner.

Won't happen. Their current owner fleeced Miami-Dade County for a 600+ million dollar stadium while pocketing profits year after year.

When you can pull that off, you're safe for at least a decade.

The Marlins believe Jack McKeon holds the keys to contention. Unfortunately he can't remember where he left them.
