Dunn and Rios for Soriano and ARam? (note I'm bored, buzzed and really frustrated with Dunn and Rios at the moment :D:)

Everybody loses in that trade.

Yep, looks like a bad trade for BOTH teams.

No way the Sox want both Soriano (whose OBP is 30+ points lower than Pierre), and Ramirez (who has seemingly lost the power he had earlier in his career), both of whom are saddled with bad contracts for years.

And, I don't see the Cubs wanting Dunn, whose only natural position is DH. And Byrd is doing fine in CF, no reason to trade for Rios.

Soriano is owed $57 million after this year.
ARam is owed $19 million after this year if there's no option-out cost in '13
Total = $76 million

Rios is owed $38.5 million after this year plus a $1 million option-out in '15
Dunn is owed $44 million
Total = $82.5 million

Money is eerily similar.

Defensively, Dunn probably could play RF at Wrigley. Rios would solve their CF problem with Byrd out. ARam would be a defensive downgrade at 3B. Soriano - where do they Sox plug him in? DH?

This is, without hyperbole, the worst idea I've ever read on WSI.

Boys and girls: Exhibit A why drinking and posting are not a good combination. The use of those stupid and uncreative nicknames of the first letter of the first name combined with the first syllable of the last name upgrades this crime from a misdemeanor to a Class X felony.
