Alexei is having the best year of his career. Paulie is AWESOME! Carlos is still great. The Sox starting pitching is very good.

Kudos to KENNY WILLIAMS for getting Phil Humber! I was wrong. Don Cooper is very good at his job. Crain and Santos, YES !!!

And, the White Sox are going to win this division. I truly believe that and I did not before the start of the season. It might not be a great accomplishment but I believe they will do it.

Also, they are not rushing Viciedo so he might turn out better than Beckham, Sale and Morel who were not prepared properly.

Yay!!! I like these threads much better than the gloom and doom that has been encroaching into the Clubhouse recently! :D:

LET'S GO SOX!!! :bandance: :bandance: :bandance:

Seriously, I just love baseball so much. So bummed that neither of my teams are playing tomorrow! Missed a lot last weekend so I do believe I will be parked squarely in front of the computer to watch lots of Sox ball this weekend! :bliss:

I picked Minnesota to win the division so I have disqualified myself from making any more predictions. But things are looking up.

going on 5 yrs now we've had this roller coaster ride of great runs mixed in with horrific slumps and skids.. you tend to not get your hopes up too high after a while

Can you imagine how this team will be when Dunn can finally hit?

Parity has come to baseball in a big way. A few of our guys have yet to hit their stride. The 1972-74 Oakland A's were dysfunctional too. As of now at least, anything is still possible. Just start winning at home and maybe I'll come around and join the crowd.

I'm on board with this thread. Adam Dunn's bat will heat up with the June weather. 12 HRs this month. You heard it here first.

All we have to do is win out. We must still have 14 games against Cleveland, thus if we win out there is no way that Cleveland or any other team will catch us and we win the division.

Still kind of wary about August and September, but more positive energy is needed.

They've only lost one series in many weeks if I can remember correctly, then they sweep the Carmines at home to make up for it.

Well two... Texas and Toronto, but the cool thing is as frustrating as some of those losses have been, they could have won both those series. Teams aren't going to win every game they have a chance to win. The team is playing lightyears better than it did in April when they were all but unwatchable.

Yup, Take a look round the league at the standings.. You put it succinctly
when you state they need to rack up more W's at home.. If you cant win on your own sandlot and take advantage of the home fanatics you become toast in a hurry... As Lip states, what's with the Chicago teams and their scheduling? Seems the Pale Hose and the Hawks get these season busting road trips each year at the most crucial points.. Hang tough...They are coming back !!!! The Tribe is doomed !!!

The REAL Jake Peavy has finally arrived. And some guy named Phil Humber, whom the Sox picked up to fill in for Jake while he was getting ready, is kicking opponents' butts. Now the Sox have this terrible dilemma of what to do about their 6-man rotation. That's pretty darn positive!

The good news is that we actually gained 2 games on them since losing the first game of this 10 game "killer" road trip.

A good homestand and you get back to .500

The Indians are starting to show cracks finally....

The Twins are a trainwreck

That leaves Motor City.....

I don't think what we saw in Boston was a fluke.....

I hope the Sox are suitably pissed off about it to end that tonight.

I wonder how the crowd will greet the team tonight. It would be great if they got a huge cheer when they took the field. Anyone think that will happen? The positive energy from an audience is a huge thing just as the negative energy can be debilitating. Please don't tell me off for blaming fans... really I'm not blaming them at all. I just know that ALL performers feed off an audience.
