Could happen this summer. Supposedly two shows, July 31 and August 1.

As much as I love him, I saw him on SNL recently and the guy can't sing anymore. He's just too old. It was rough.

I told myself I would go to his next tour.

My wife has never seen him, so if I'm able to get tickets we'll probably go.
I saw him in 1989 and it was a really fun show.

Seeing Paul McCartney was a religious experience for me.

I thought the same, yet reluctantly stuck around for his performance at Coachella 2 years ago. He was a master jedi of music - one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Don't sell him short.

SNL was brutal, but a number of acts sound horrible there, so maybe it'll be worthwhile to check him out.

...Paul McCartney can definitely still sing. As the post below says, a lot of great music acts sound like crap on TV. Also, keep in mind he was singing Lennon songs in that appearance.

I saw him at the UC back in '05 and he was great. I'd consider going to see him at Wrigley, though I could only make that first show on the 31st. I'm seeing Brian Wilson in St. Charles the night before, and going to the Sox game the Sunday afternoon, so that could be a pretty epic weekend.

Some perspective, its amazing he played at old Comiskey almost a half century ago ('65)

Seen him several times, most recently last summer in Atlanta. Sounded great, which is not to say he has the same voice he had years ago.

I saw Sir Paul twice back in 1989 and 1990. I would love to see him again. I have never been to a concert at Wrigley before. In fact, I haven't been to Wrigley in over 15 years. Has any body else had a postive/negative experience at a Wrigley concert? Is it worth the hassle of getting there and risking that old park crumbling on my head?

I've seen both the Police and Elton John there. If you are looking for the best audio experience, forget it. However it is nice to be outside watching a concert in the city. If you do go, make sure you get there super early. Unlike their baseball games, my experience is that most fans show up around the same time half an hour before the show (as opposed to rolling in during the 2nd inning or getting there early for BP) and that park just isn't built to handle all the traffic at one time.

Same here... Saw him in KC...Gotta give it to the Old Sod...He still puts the effort in with what he's still able to do and the pace of the show. These giants love what they do, feed off of the moment and try like hell to give you your moneys worth..Unfortunately, I've seen a $3 ticket turn into a $300 ticket in my lifetime.....

Outdoor Venues can be iffy soundwise..same with some poorly engineered indoor shows as well. If ya go, give Sir Paul a thumbs up for me.. Wrigley? That should be very interesting...Is this a play on Shea?

Got two as well. Section 206.

Time to sell some stuff on ebay to pay for the tickets, but totally worth it.

There are still pre-sale tickets available on his website at paulmccartney.com. The lowest priced tickets are $107. I'm hopeful Monday might bring better luck with lower prices.

I snagged some in section 229. I wasn't going to because money is a bit tight right now but I don't want to miss possibly my last opportunity to ever see a Beatle live.

The "actual" ticket sale starts on Monday at 10 a.m. on Ticket.com or by calling the Cubs ticket line.

My brother asked me if I want to go. I respect McCartney and like some of his music but I am not interested enough to spend tall bucks, so I am probably going to pass.

I saw him at the UC in 2002. What a great show that was, probably the best concert I've ever seen.

His voice is rougher that it was, but whose wouldn't be at 69?

I don't have high hopes for the acoustics at Wrigley, though. He may sound even rougher there, it's hard to say.

With that music catalog to draw from, almost anybody will find something they like.

The cheapest tickets are $34.50 and not on StubHub.
Although after two pre-sales, I'm going to guess that most of those seats are taken.

They don't usually put everything on sale for a presale. I'm sure there will be some tomorrow.

I wound up getting two $29.50 tickets... separate.

525, 5, 104
524, 2, 101

I had to keep on clicking on the $29.50 tickets forever just to get one. I'm hoping I can get my wife to sit next to me, but we'll see. I'm just to be going. Although I wonder if I kept on clicking two if two seats together would have came up.

Well, I decided to pull the trigger and bought 4 for the Monday show. Section 235, row 9. Hopefully, no poles blocking my view. I am guessing that the stage will be set up in center field, right?

Yes, CF is the set up. Your seats are a great location for a concert at Wrigley. No poles because you'll be looking straight north, at the stage.
I sat there for Elton and Billy, friends had seats that cost more in sec 127, the sound was better where you will be.

I am very glad to hear that. I was sort of thinking that I should have spent the extra money for a seat on the field, but was hesitant to spend $280 a ticket. I can't wait. Should be a great time.
