8 Sox players have been All Star MVP since 1962-but NONE of them while with the team.

'73 Bobby Bonds
'76 George Foster
'85 Dewey LaMarr Hoyt
'87 Tim Raines
'89 Bo Jackson
'90 Julio Franco
'97 Sandy Alomar Jr.

Ya can't get too exercised about people who were showing that kinda skeelsz BEFORE they became Sox (and what would Chicago baseball be if we weren't always acquiring guys after their prime?? Successful??). And the most you can say about Hoyt's imminent drug-induced decline was that it was an incredible shame. Thankfully, we at least moved on him before it was too late. Out of that list I'd say that only Callison qualifies as a first-rate "DOH!"
