That's rough. This guy was very tough on the Sox during the year or two where they fought with KC for the West. Hope he gets well.
This is sad news.
I got a hit off of Paul Splittorff the only time I faced him in a fantasy camp in the 1990s. He still had wicked movement, and I got lucky. He was a fun guy, a really nice guy, who was a better pitcher than most people remember.

IIRC he gave us fits back in the day. A very good pitcher. Hoping and praying he wins this battle.

I think he went to Arlington High School in Arlington Heights.

This is a shame. The Royals have had quite a difficult history in regards to this. Quisenberry died way too young. Dick Howser too.

A big reason the Royals were so successful in the 70s and 80s. Good lefty. My best wishes to his family and friends.

RIP Splitt...loved this guy when I was little. I liked the sound of his name I think.
Yesterday was a really lousy day for baseball.
