Overall yesterday is a day Kansas City wants to forget

That's rough. This guy was very tough on the Sox during the year or two where they fought with KC for the West. Hope he gets well.
This is sad news.
I got a hit off of Paul Splittorff the only time I faced him in a fantasy camp in the 1990s. He still had wicked movement, and I got lucky. He was a fun guy, a really nice guy, who was a better pitcher than most people remember.
Get well soon.

IIRC he gave us fits back in the day. A very good pitcher. Hoping and praying he wins this battle.

I think he went to Arlington High School in Arlington Heights.

He passed away today.

This is a shame. The Royals have had quite a difficult history in regards to this. Quisenberry died way too young. Dick Howser too.

A big reason the Royals were so successful in the 70s and 80s. Good lefty. My best wishes to his family and friends.

RIP Splitt...loved this guy when I was little. I liked the sound of his name I think.
Yesterday was a really lousy day for baseball.
