Going to the 13th.

And as much as I hate Sawx fans, I loved them singing "Just a Friend" for Youkilis's AB.

Red Sox ownership worked the concession stands and gave out free coffee and hot chocolate to the loyal fans who stayed.

Now that, Fenway, is classy.

Maybe Boston's not such an evil place after all.

Beat me to it (of course, the cynic in me who's worked in the food industry wonders if they need to get rid of mass quantities of it because it was expiring soon. Still a nice move, though).

Boston's ownership is very smart...but they do try and reach out to the fans... John Henry sits in the lower boxes as does Tom Werner and they are there just about every game ( except when Liverpool is playing )

They had to get the game in because it is Anaheim's only trip in and the umpires were going to wait...and wait.

I only wound up there as a hockey cameraman from Philly had never been to Fenway so when our game ended at 10 we just hopped the subway to Fenway...didn't expect to be there until 2:45 AM tho

Boston's ownership has the PR touch that the Southsiders do not.

Boston's ownership has the PR touch that the Southsiders do not.

They don't miss much - In the days of John Harrington and Jean Yawkey PR did not exist.

First Opening Day of the John Henry era they noticed a gate that kept bleacher fans out of the grandstand - it had been that way since the 30's - they ordered the gate opened.

They are good owners - thank gawd Frank McCourt or the Dolan Family didn't get the team.
