He's probably practicing the speech he's given at this time several seasons. It won't be groundbreaking, and I'm sure he'll say, "I believe in the talent", and then hint at changes.

Given that Kenny extended Ozzie it would be an admission of poor judgment on his part if he were to come out and say something along the lines of putting Ozzie on notice.

I don't expect anything Earth-shaking later today. Probably the usual, 'it's early,' 'we're better than this,' 'we'll give it some time' type talk.

And honestly I don't know what more Kenny can say at this point. The Sox are less than a month into the season...trades simply aren't done at this point in time, you're not going to fire a manager that was extended. In short there's nothing that can be done now even if Kenny wants to.

Just more "hope" than anything else for now. I guess 125 million doesn't get as much 'hope' as it used to! LOL.

Probably right. Probably something along the lines of, "I don't believe in cliches. It's just when our backs are against the wall, we have to put our pants on one leg at a time and hope this dark cloud has a silver lining."

I'm not an Ozzie fan and would like to see him canned, that being said KW should come out and put the blame right where it belongs with our over paid underperforming band of stiffs that we have right now. KW, OG, Walker and Coop did not blow a bunch of games in save situations or drop quite a few fly balls and have no clue on how to get a hit.

I am curious who you are putting in this category. Dunn? He just had surgery, came back too early and is adjusting to the AL and being a DH. Pierre? He is around his career average. So is AJ. Teahen? A bad signing but not hitting that bad considering he is a utility guy now. Rios? He could be. Surely not Quentin, Omar or PK. Ramirez? Better than any previous Aprils he has had. I see 1 guy, Rios, but even he has an excuse, toe injury. The rest of the guys are making chump change.

I know a lot of others have been claiming what you said so this isnt directed only at you.

This situation is a lot deeper than overpaid, under performing players not carrying their weight.

8-14 worst record in MLB, 1-10 in the last 11 games, its all Alex Rios fault.

Dunn didn't come back too early. He was ready to go 2 days before he started playing again.

If thats the case then Williams should be blamed for not acquiring anyone to play CF in case Rios got hurt or slumped.

Its a complex situation, many things can be blamed.

Could be introducing a new Sox merchandise line too. They are now making hats that have a thumb and forefinger print on the top and bottom of the lid to make it easier for our hitters to figure out where to put their fingers when they have to tip their caps. They expect it to be a big seller, 18 guys in the dugout will need one.

Not watching Kenny today. I am boycotting a game or two. Well, boycotting isn't really the right word...for my own mental health, I think I need some time off from watching bad White Sox baseball.

However, the team's recent failures have resulted in something good - really AWESOME biting sarcasm and wit on this board. I can't give that up. It's soooo entertaining! :gulp:

Kenny can do whatever he wants this season--make trades, fire Ozzie, don't fire Ozzie. Fire Walker, don't fire Walker. Do whatever the next five months.

But if they don't make the playoffs, it's time for Kenny to step down.
