As bad as the offense has been, the pitching has allowed 18 runs in 16 IP this series. Any Walker talk, should include some Cooper talk as well.

The total team effort has sucked, but looking at the efforts of Rios and Juan P. Error, I think both these guys need a day or two off.

Well that's 10 of their last 12...

They've lost four consecutive series...

"Corpse-ball" doesn't begin to describe the way this team looks...gutless, disinterested and lethargic. Guess it's time to "tip your cap..." again

Next stop: Last Place. (and well deserved...)

No words to describe how I am feeling about this team right now.
Only saving grace is that its only April and there is a long way to go and 5 games under .500 is not the end of the world.

Fine. Fire his ass, too. I don't care.

Walker should have been gone three years ago.

Then along came the Chicago White Sox...their patented technology of 'self-esteem through not hitting my pitches' worked wonders! But the Chicago White Sox were true miracle workers! They made me feel like I was back on the Florida Marlins again! Never has my arsenal looked so overpowering and Cy Young-worthy than when they came to Comerica Park! I love it, and will definitely recommend them to all my friends!"

I know our offense has slumps like this every year, but this is about as bad as we've seen it in quite a while. Would it really have mattered? The starting pitching has been very average to bad during this slump as well.

We'll send Morel down and Ozzie will spout some **** that he didn't act like a "MLB player", and then we'll get a Teabag/Grandpa platoon because that's what we need, ect. Meanwhile, Ozzie will throw everyone, but himself, under the bus and then claim that he takes way too much heat for the players' failure, blah, blah, blah........

I am very glad I have invested zero dollars in advanced tickets for the White Sox this year- this looks like 2007 with a much higher payroll.

I was going to suggest the call up Viciedo for the OF and move Pierre to the bench or release him- but Dayan in hitting .204 at Charlotte.

We did have 29 y.o starter at AA pitch a good game this weekend...

With a stretch of 30 of 43 on the road, it could be.

After that lots on home summer games. Very tough to get money in the Sox coffers when tics will be being sold at 1/2 price on stub hub, if that scenario occurs. Its getting close to now or never time, the team cant dig themselves out of another hole like last year and they could be in that hole after the yanks series.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, Sox ownership knows the ramifications of this team playing like this. I wouldn't be surprise to hear that Reinsdorf is in NY to have a clubhouse meeting with this team which he hasnt done in awhile.

Cooper gets a free pass in this town. His staff, aside from Danks, sucks ass.
This pitching staff would be a whole lot better if:

a) They got to pitch with the lead more than once every full solar eclipse
b) The defense would make the plays they are supposed to make. Alex Rios and Juan Pierre need to get their head out of their asses this season and catch the freakin' baseball.

These two major problems are like gunshot wounds to a pitching staff. It's tough to grade the pitching staff when the rest of the team's play has been so poor around them.

Could probably move Burly Mon (if he would agree to the trade) and maybe Carlos? Danks?

So, who are the Sox going to sell off come July?

I agree with a prior answer to this, not sure there's much to sell off...

the one big piece is Buehrle... but they might have to do that before the deadline...

other than the brilliant start vs. Oakland (which they pulled him at 99 pitches thru 8 because of playing it safe with his arm) he's been downright awful...

I don't see any way they re-sign him after the year due to either him retiring or not being willing to shell out the money he'll want to it's def. in the best interest of the franchise to send him to a contender and get some kind of prospect(s) back in return...

I think he would do very well on some NL squad looking to go deep into the playoffs...
