I demand royalties. Steve will be hearing from my lawyer.

Hey, nice to see a national sports columnist needs 20 hours to write the exact same thing a bunch of fans did in 20 minutes. Way to earn that paycheck, Stevie.

He could have stumbled on that himself. It's clever, but it's not "A Farewell to Arms."

First heard it on Mulley & Hanley around 7:30 this morning.

I heard a few people this morning on Grobstein's show refer to Pierre as that as well.

Rosenbloom, you copycat! :tsk:

At least give credit where credit is due.

True, but I don't think he's that smart.

Rosenbloom thinks "A Farewell to Arms" is the going away party the Cubs had for Mark Prior.

Rosenbloom thinks he's funny and cute and uses names all the time. His act got old over ten years go. To me, he is nothing but a basement blogger.

Rosenbloom is a hack.Yep. I don't remember when it was (within the last year or two), but I believe there was another example of Rosenbloom "sampling" WSI in one of his articles.

If I were a hack basement journalist, I'd steal from WSI too...we got some clever little monkeys in these parts.

Rosenbloom was also the guy who said "I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'" Quentin might be in PEDs in 2008. He likes to write whatever he feels like just to be a shocker. Definite hack.

Rosenberg, Rosenbloom, same difference. 25 years of unfunny sarcasm either way. Steve:Get a new act.

It is clever enough that I've never seen it written anywhere before in Pierre's ten years in the league. Too much of a coincidence to see material lifted that quickly.

I was also on another site immediately after the game as well. He probably got it from here or there.

Somebody on SI.com also used the term "Pierror", so it's hard to say whom is ripping off whom here.

Basement bloggers everywhere take offense to that assessment.

Page 2 of the Trib sports section is usually pretty good except for Rosenbloom. Today's Blackhawk graphic was pretty funny. I think they have the second city writers help with that stuff. The reader comments are usually good but then Rosenbloom's stuff is always, and I mean always, totally useless. I'd rather have a muffler ad in its place.

Why is it that Chicago sportswriters are so awful? It wasn't ever thus.
