From the Daily Herald:

When the White Sox play a day/night doubleheader at Detroit on July 13, manager Jerry Manuel said a current minor-league pitcher is likely to start one of the games.

A decision still has to be made, but the Sox might give Class AA Birmingham left-hander Corwin Malone a look. Malone is 8-5 with a 4.34 ERA at Birmingham.

There doesn't seem to be much help at Class AAA Charlotte, where Jim Parque (4-7, 7.62 ERA) and Jon Rauch (2-5, 5.72) are still trying to rebound from shoulder surgery.

If Manuel and Williams bring up Parque, I'm gonna find each of their cars and put sugar in the gas tanks.

Butter pitched today:

9 Runs on 9 Hits, in 5 1/3 inn. raising his ERA to 8.16

Lets call him up right now!! Maybe he can get a spot on the All-Star Roster!

Bring up Parrish.

Malone's K/BB ratio is awful. So is Parrish's but Parrish isn't a K pitcher.
