Konerko needs 35 HRs for 400.
Dunn needs 46 HRs for 400.
Konerko needs 139 hits for 2,000.
Pierre needs 158 hits for 2,000.

All seem to be September-ish.

Wow, Konerko's 2,000 hits is somewhat surprising to me. And yes, they all could be reachable with solid seasons, very late in the year - but the last two are most likely.

For reference:
Konerko has hit 35+ HR's 4 times in his career (and only twice in the last 5 years).
Dunn has hit 46+ HR's only once in his career (in 2004).
Konerko has had 139+ hits 10 times in his career (and 6 out of the last 7 years; and 10 out of the last 12 years).
Pierre has 158+ hits 8 times in his career (and 8 out of the last 10 years).

It would be cool if Konerko and Dunn hit their milestones on the same day just like Konerko and Dye did a few years back.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Of course, Dunn and Konerko have to go back-to-back.

Especially awesome if on that day, Konerko gets his 2000th hit with Pierre accomplishing the same feat.

And all this happens during a Buehrle perfect game, of course.

Just building their confidence.

Back to the topic at hand. For Paulie and Dunn to do it on the same day, Paulie would have to start out real hot, then cool off to give Dunn a chance to catch up.

If I am there and this happens I will feel obligated to streak the field :D:

It looks like it was 0-0 while our major leaguers played but opened up when the minor leaguers took over.

Maybe good for the Dash if these young guys can go out there and compete with anyone.

You won't see the celebration at the final out.

In fact, you will never see another MLB game again as long as you live.

Well, then there goes the season. Doubt we win another game after that.

How do they even enforce that?

Dunn is 120 RBI short of 1000. If he hits 46 homers, the 120 is certainly do-able.

I was going to make some smart-ass post about strikeouts, but there's no milestone anywhere in the next year (needs 288 for 1500).

Bernstein was saying the other day that he could break the franchise record for strikeouts in a season.

I know this is a stretch, but if Konerko hits 42 homers this year, he'll have 400 in a Sox uniform, joining Frank Thomas as the only two to achieve that mark. Even though I think that will be a 2012 milestone, 400 for his overall career should be an attainable one for him should all go well.

Breaking the big Nic's record of 175 would be quite a feat.

Breaking the big Nic's record of 175 would be quite a feat.Pfffft. Dunn AVERAGES 183 per 162 games. He's topped 175 in a season four times. He had 199 last year. Child's play for Dunn.

If Dunn has a career year, he could potentially break Albert Belle's franchise record of 49HRs. It would have to be a monster season though.
