When he signed with detroit there was a rumor that the Sox were very close to signing him. If that would've happened who wouldn't be here now: Paulie, AJ or Dunn?

I almost think Konerko and AJ wouldn't be here. Who knows though. I'd much rather take Dunn, Konerko, AJ than anything to do with Martinez and any other combo.
