i'm usually somewhat of an optimist when it comes to the sox, but i've been thinking lately if foulke is the reincarnation of bobby thigpen. granted, it took three pitchers to blow the game yesterday, and the managing staff is atrocious when trying to decide consistent roles for the players, but it seems like foulke is getting lit up more often than he is effective. what do you all think?

i thought of that scary possibilty yesterday evening actually, but didn't have the guts to say it because i feared for what responses i would get from saying it. but you gotta wonder if he's ever going to get it back together . . .

In Thiggy's prime he sure was awsome. Isn't the average career of a closer like 3 years or something tho? Has to be a tremendous amount of stress leading to burnout.
