I don't see why they shouldn't. Maybe have a delayed start? There's quite a few people that probably depend on those jobs.

I would think if nothing else it would people escape for a couple of hours.

They are running the Takamatsunomia Kinen (G1) at Hashin on Sunday so why not baseball.

I remember how baseball resumed after 9/11. Obviously, a whole American region's infrastructure wasn't in shambles, but the country was still debilitated.

It is true that baseball helped some Americans escape reality for a few hours each day. That's always been true through much of the conflict of the last century. It can help the Japanese this way.
