Forbes doesn't think JR lost money at all..... they show a healthy operation expense plus

I like the part where they say we made a run at the AL West. Is it 1993 all over again?

Looks like they ADDED a sponsor. Bacardi is listed.

I did not know Dave Kaplan wrote for Forbes.

In the snapshot about the Cards, they all but have Pujols in a Cub uni for 2012.

Hard to put much credance into their research. They don't even know who owns the team!

I find it very surprising that the Cubs and Sox rank 24 and 25 respectively in TV ratings. I find that hard to believe considering we are the #3 TV market in the country and this is a great baseball town. It has to be figured by % of homes or something because the Twins are ranked #2 and there is no way Minneapolis St Paul metro area is drawing more viewers than both Chicago teams. There just isn't enough population.

I agree, they can't be going by total viewers.

percentage of viewers in the market

I wonder how they are defining "market." If the geographic description is large enough, some parts of the market might include Cardinals strongholds.

Twins are 12th. I know they have a nice new ballpark and are spending money, but for some reason I'm still surprised they're ranked that high. Maybe it's because I still think of them almost being contracted 10 years ago.
