Ozzie named Thornton as the closer, sounds good to me.

Something tells me that Sergio Santos will be closing more games than Thornton before the season's halfway over. But that would be an expensive setup man on their hands. So Matt's the man!

Not surprising. Thornton is fantastic and he's certainly earned it.
However, I like Thornton as a set-up guy. Shouldn't mess too much with a good thing, I think. I'd prefer Sale in the role, myself. But, like I said before, Thornton has definitely earned this opportunity to close, and I hope it works out.

As long as Sale can do his part, I'm up for it. Sale's control is kind of scaring me, but I think most of that has to do with his release point.

I like this move. Thorton has said all off season he wants the closer role and I'm glad he got it.

Sale needs to be a starter, so I'm glad he's not closing. The pen can prep him for starting.

Yes for the Thorntonator :)

The less pressure on the kid, the better. Good decision, Ozzie.
