Just placed an order for it. We'll see if it comes in.

I saw that too. I was surprised at the price, over $20 seems pricey to me. What do I know maybe it's a collectors item now, but I would think you could find one at a thrift shop for 50-cents now-a-days.

Edit:
Just checked an it looks like they took it down.

They have a few of the yankee hats from that year up as well. I suspect they're doing inventory at the various wharehouses, and putting up what they unearth.

As for it's cost. If you can find me a CLEAN and UNWORN copy of this hat for 50 cents, I'll give you $20.

This hat is just not up for sale anywhere. It's more rare than the 2008 Division Winner Hat.

I was hoping it was going to be Jim Parque's gold Porsche.

That hat was scarce even in 2005. I'm not sure why. One theory mentioned here was that the retailers didn't think the Sox would do well in the post season and didn't want to be on the hook for a bunch of unsold stuff, so they only ordered the minimum.

In about January of 2006, one poster mentioned seeing them at one of the big department stores in the Loop; I hopped on the Blue Line the very next day and bought two of them. Glad I did, too, because they are some of the few hats that actually fit my giant fat head.

I've yet to see any more, anywhere, for sale.
