I've seen programs from those games. It was marketed as "The Milwaukee Brewers present Major League Baseball"

I guess the Milwaukee group that put on the games was called the Brewers, readying itself when a team came back to Milwaukee.

The program covers were pretty cool. I wish I could find an image of it.

I just had a thought that Veeck said it was a bad idea because it wasn't his idea. Not that he ever entertained the idea of moving Our Team to what he thought were greener pa$ture$. Not Bill Veeck.

What Veeck said was you play all games at home - he didn't say where home was.

One can debate Veeck's motives in anyplace he set up shop....he WAS a hustler.

BUT

Veeck did come along when places like Denver, Seattle and Toronto were waving money. He bought the franchise time.
