Just got a text from my brother-in-law about this. Woot!!!

Thanks for the channel #. It shows up on my u-verse app now. Just set 30 Clubs in 30 days - White Sox to record this afternoon!

Just made my friend in South Carolina very happy

I wish we had them in New England - Verizon has pretty much given up with FiOS as they won't tackle the big cities.

They still don't carry MLB extra innings though....

Eh who cares. At this point I would rather have MLB.TV. That gives me the option of streaming through PS3 onto TV or on any of my computers or while traveling.

MLB Network was the must have and it took 3+ years for them to finally add it.

Any reason why you wont't switch to DirecTV? For sports it is best satellite option.

That's what we have too but we were considering upgrading. Were thinking U-Verse but also wanted MLB network. So now that it's possible, we will probably go that route.

This was a nice surprise a stumbles across while channel surfing between earthquake coverage earlier. This and EI and some of the only knocks I have had with UVerse since switching from DirecTv.

How does it look streaming through the playstation? I have had Uverse for a few months and I have been hoping the give me a late christmas gift and add extra innings but I guess if mlb.tv looks nice streaming I may just go for that. Can I record games using it and the playstation or does it allow me to watch archived games?

Hell would only freeze over if Wide Open West got MLB Network.

I just signed up with Dish in November, my dad wanted their Latino package so he could get some his soccer games from Mexico, we signed up using my name and now we have a 24 month commitment with Dish.

I actually like Dish Network, but the only knock on them I have is a lack of MLB Network.

It isn't 720p but it is very close to it. I think if I had more bandwidth it would upscale the resolution a bit. Some people get HD I think.

MLB Network is worth being excited over.

I'm moving into a new house in a few months and I already know I won't being having MLB Network. I'm excited about the new house and all, but I would be lying if I told you I wasn't a at all bummed about losing MLB Network.
