Just read this in the hard copy that came to our house yesterday...
Good interview with a few references to Bud's attempt to buy the White Sox in the 60s and his friendship with Jerry.

Let me get this straight:
Seeing fans lose their team to another city (Braves) just broke his heart.....so, his plan was to buy the White Sox and move them away from Chicago and their fans.

History is important to him, but (not said in this article) one of his plans is supposedly to put an end to the American and National Leagues.

Selig is as popular in Montreal as Zedeno Chara.

So he HAD the White Sox but the owners said no... (Finley maybe?)

He paid more for the Pilots than Steinbrenner did for the Yankees 2 years later .....wow

Keep in mind that the Braves were only in Milwaukee for 13 years when they left. Selig tried to move a team that had been in Chicago for around 70 years.
