Really thought about this one, guys, but it just didn't make any sense to drive up and skip my two most important classes, just to drive back that night. I'll be there for the second game, though. Plus that Sunday.

Assuming MLB continues with their trend of opening the season on Thursday and Friday, though, I'm sure I'll finally get an Opening Day within the next few years.

I will be there with my sons, Dad, and brothers. We will be way up in section 556, but no complaints from me. Going to need a quick game however. My nine year old will have a game of his own that night, and we have to make sure we get him back home for it.

Smart. We are waaaaaaaay overdue for a cold/wet Opener. Even the snow-out a couple of years ago had great weather the next day for the make up game.

I couldn't agree more and so did I!!!! Unfortunately, weather like that on Opening Day -- sunny and 75 -- tends to only occur once every ten years. There have been years where it's been nice or tolerable (in the 40s or 50s), depending on how you look at it, but as another poster mentioned earlier, we're kinda due for some crappy Opening Day weather. With that said, though, I'm continuing to remain optimistic for a repeat of last year's Opening Day weather.

This will be my 41st consecutive home opener. I've enjoyed everyone of them. Hopefully this will be the start of a Championship Season. My most memorable opener was in 1971. They lost over 100 games in 1970 and didn't draw that season. In 1971 they opened up on the road in Oakland and swept the A's. They then came home to a SRO crowd and beat the Twins. It was a wonderful way to start off the new year.

Been waiting for some Sox crooked numbers to be put up on that board all winter! I think this is my 8th year in a row (lost count)

Hope:

-The weather is perfect like last year
-Rios hits another bomb " " " "
-#56 pitches another gem & makes an amazing play " " " "
-Get my hot dog from the 'HOT DOG!!' shouting vendor

Also as a bonus the left field scoreboard plays the "backward hands clapping gloves" animation. Me and my dad always get a kick out of this weird and hilarious event. Ohh look backwards hands!!! haha. Anyone else know what i'm referring to? Honorable mention to the fat alien stomping feet.

Just bought my tickets! Only $50 each for 10th row UD on the infield. After I printed them out, I looked at them and could not keep myself from smiling.
Also of note: this will be my first Opening Day since 2005...let's hope things turn out similarly.

Well it's not the Sox home opener (don't I wish!) but I will be going to my 2nd straight Rockies home opener. Finally nabbed some tickets yesterday, not bad ones at that. Upper deck in right field, second row. Hey, at least I'm in the ballpark!

Of course, the day will start with my 1st Annual Pancake & Beer "Tailgate". Everyone had a great time last year and I live so close to the park it gives everyone a place to park for free and they get food and beer. The forecast isn't quite projected out till then but the week before is forecasted to be low-to-mid 60's and sunny so that would be really great for OD.

Hope you all have a great time at your game. I will certainly be watching online! :gosox:
