Nice pics, however a somewhat embarrassing turnout at the gate. Don't the Dodgers sell out that place?

Also, why don't the SOX ever wear their BP jerseys/caps like other teams during spring training. I like the look of their new button down BP jerseys and it seems like all the other teams wear theirs.

How often would you be there if it was a 5-6 hour drive? I know I would go almost every weekend.

Good pics. I was at that game also. The Rios homer landed about five feet to the left of me right off some guys hands.

Nope. None of the stadiums or teams down there sell out the place. At least I have never seen it and I have been to 3 or 4 different parks down there every year for the last 4 years.

No one sells out consistently, but ive seen packed houses at Giants and Cubs games.

Better hang on to those pics --- might be the only win of the preseason!

I got dragged to their opener against the Cubs Tuesday in Scottsdale and I think it was a sellout. They jacked up the prices to $20 for berm seating, I talked to a Giants fan at the game and he said the next day vs AZ they would be $8 again.

The game today vs. the Indians
was not very crowded. Honestly I thought there were more
Sox fans there than Indians fans.
We lost pretty bad too :(
Gavin was throwing alot of balls high !

NICE Ballpark -- not as nice as CB Ranch , but overall good !

I went to a few spring training season games when they played in Tucson and the games were either sold out or pretty close. I never saw a game with that small of a crowd.

I now attend mostly Grapefruit league games now that I've moved to SW Florida. I'm checking out the renovated Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota next week to see the Orioles play the Phillies. They are drawing well due to this being the first season for the Orioles and the renovated ballpark. Too bad (for me) that the SOX still don't train there. Tampa's Legends Field always does well with the Yankees and Clearwater does well with the Phillies. I went to a couple Pirates games in Bradenton last season and those crowds were pretty small. A bad team in a run down/old spring training facility will have that effect.

I haven't ventured down south to Ft. Myers to see either the Red Sox or Twins yet.

Save yourself the headache. The area is packed with obnoxious Red Sox fans.

update from ST

Mark Burhle didn't pitch too well today , but made an awesome play
in the game. He really is a gold glover !!

Dunn is HUGE . His walk up music was BOOM (Jenks former song ).

They lost yesterday too , but I am not worried as there were alot of
Triple A/ invitees playing.

I got signitures on my hat by Peavy , A.J. , Thornton , Pierre
and Ohman's signiture in In-n-Out after the game. Peavy , Thornton , and Lillibridge are really nice with signings :)

Back to reality tomorrow -
