He may struggle at the plate sometimes, and we know he can't throw the ball but Never ever question his work ethic...

His work ethic wouldn't answer back anyway.

Have always liked Pierre since his days with the Marlins.
Now that he has a year in the A.L., I expect a .300+ season along with 100+ runs scored in 2011.

He actually made some pretty impressive throws from Left last season. Most of us were pleasantly surprised.

He's only scored 100 runs in 3 seasons. I'm expecting about the same as last year. I'd love to see the 68 stolen bases again.

I was more impressed with his glove, which was better last year than I hoped.

It is comforting to know that the Sox have a dependable leadoff guy,who can steal bases better than anyone in the league. And I agree about his glove in left...he had a good year out there.

If everyone on this club does their job, fills their role,as good as Juan,we should be in good shape.

Love the burning desire to stay in the league and the willingness to work his arse off for it....no complacency or entitlement with Juan. Feel-good story about a quiet leader for the Sox.

And if you like Pierre's game or not, one thing he always does is busts it down the line, something very rare for a guy who has been around as long as he has been around.

I really enjoyed that as well. You have to respect the man. He takes a lot of crap on this board, most of which is uncalled for. Every team needs a table-setter, and Juany is as good as they come.

Plays the game the right way and always goes hard...he can play on my team any day...

As someone who has been one of Juan's biggest detractors, I'm growing to appreciate him more all the time.

I can't understand why he can't drive the ball. He looks pretty strong, and certainly trains hard. I understand that he's not trying to hit the long ball, but you'd think that more of his line drives would reach the wall for doubles and triples.

The man likes to workout. That does not make him a freak.

Because he is a contact slap hitter. That's like asking Jim Thome why he can't spray the ball the other way. It's just not their game.

Of the games I was at early last season, I always noticed that Pierre was one of the first to be in the outfield during pre-game running sprints or doing drills. Hopefully his hard work this off season will show!!
