My only responses are: What has Aroldis Chapman done as of yet? and... Shouldn't Morneau be a bit higher?

Shouldn't Morneau be a bit higher?

This.

If this is any indication of the rest of this list it's useless.

My immediate thought as well. I have to see their criteria first before I judge the list.

They explained the formula for how the players were chosen at the beginning of the show. I'm sure they'll do that again next week.

Even the analysts on the show, Harold Reynolds and Al Leiter, made objections at times saying that players like Morneau should be higher.

That's Morneau's ranking when he has a concussion and can't see straight.

Morneau would be higher, but all those darn White Sox players grabbed the top spots thereby pushing everyone else down the list.

If Jeter is not on the list, then it is very legit.

Wanna make a bet? I guarantee you he is in the top 25.

But, I couldn't agree with you more.

I'm sure he'll probably make it somewhere.

Harold Reynolds commented that he felt that Jacoby Ellsbury got some love because of where he plays.

Not a chance.

We'll see. There's always some excuse for naming Jeter to these kind of things.

If David Ortiz :o: is still in the top 100, there is no telling how far up the list Jeter will be.

I would think Teixeira, Arod, Sabathia and Rivera would be ahead of Jeter. Cano will probably be top 5.

Jeter will probably be in the 20's or 30's.

Don't forget that this MLB Network list includes pitchers too. I'm sure Pujols, Halladay, Mauer, and Miguel Cabrera should be ranked higher than Cano.

Right. That's why I mentioned Sabathia and Rivera.

I still think Cano is sniffing top 5. He's highly thought of by the MLBN guys.

Harold Reynolds also hinted that he knew some really deserving players were getting overlooked. Not that Jacoby Ellsbury isn't a good player but they shouldn't snub guys like Alex Rios or Shin Soo Choo just to get him on the list. When I think of Jacoby Ellsbury, I think of a solid outfielder/leadoff man with good speed. Baseball Reference similarity scores with Ellsbury include Denard Span, Rajai Davis, and Ryan Sweeney. Are they going to be on this list?

I think they'll both make it on the list since they can do so much.

Jeter was #46.

Konerko- 47
Dunn- 48

Jeter was #46.Well, I was wrong. I though surely the Jeter worship would show up in this thing by him being placed much higher.

If it was ESPN, wouldn't the top 50 simply be the Yankees and Red Sox rosters, interspersed?
