Glad to see they're ditching the black. Now the Mets and Jays need to follow suit.

Amen. I hate the black trend. It's not cool anymore when everyone has it.

I don't like the Giants in black either. I think they've switched to orange now for their alt. Which is at least unique.

Marlins wear black, too.

I'm not crazy about the Giants' black jerseys, but at least black is one of their basic colors. As for the Jays, back to the two shades of blue and for the Mets, back to blue and orange, please.

I agree. Those black jerseys looked aweful last season when they played the SOX. Black jerseys and white shoes?! :?:

I also like that they brought back the "A's" logo on the jersey. I like the Athletics script on their home whites, however it's nice that the alternate is different.

Till the club is sold.

So will they also be growing handlebar mustaches when they wear these throwbacks?

I like it! Add some long hair and some good sideburn chops as well. I remember watching the A's team of the early 70s winning 3 WS titles. I also remember playing little league and all the boys wearing white shoes after the A's rise to power. :D:

I don't like the pullover/softball style of jerseys, however I'm happy they could bring back a little 70s retro look while staying with the traditional/throwback style.

Hopefully they can get that new ballpark deal done.

Reggie Jackson approved. Would like it more if it were sleeveless. :D:

They need to bring back the gold sanitaries. (Not that we would see them anyway). :(:

What year did the A's switch to the green and "gold" (I love how every team with yellow in their uniform calls it "gold")? I'm guessing it was sometime in the mid-60s when Finley owned them in Kansas City.
