We didn't trade Jenks, Mr. Van Dyke.

The comments from Cub fans are hilarious.

I don't see anything wrong with Beckham's comments. He did not mention names and he was speaking from the perspective within the clubhouse. Add the ESPN cameras they had to endure and I'm sure the team got tired of it. Konerko even hinted at it prior to his resigning with the club.

If anything, Ozzie needs to rope in his son.

What he said is all true. Now if he can start producing on the field maybe he can be a leader on this team.

"We don't want excuses that cause us strain to win games."

That's a very interesting way to put things. Do you think Beckham came up with that on his own?

I agree. I still think Beckham has all the tools needed to succeed at this level. I think he put way too much pressure on himself last year and fell into the typical sophmore slump. He played very well after the All-Star break up until his injury. I think he will bounce back in 2011.

Yep. I think it's going to be a nice rebound year for Bacon in 2011.

Dump, how dare you expect him to have his facts straight. He's only a reporter.

He also said that the Sox "never fully recovered" after falling 6 games out by the end of April. Ummm, didn't we storm back to first place by July? :dunno:

Yeah, those early season losses count just as much as other games and ultimately helped doom us in the end. But that statement just doesn't seem accurate to me.

I was gone when Jenks said what he said about Ozzie, but wow, what a prick.

I checked the ESPN video; I liked the backhanded pick Morel had. :D:

In keeping with focus on baseball I'd like the see the entire squad get a nice clean cut haircut right before they break spring training camp. Get everyone on board with precision cuts, or even military-style buzz. Watch opponents dump load in pants facing team of mercenaries with eye black, a definite psychological edge. Maybe even would be antidote to the annual sleepy April/May oops instant 8 games below .500 start, eh? Why not try this, once, for me?
