Red Sox willput the rest of the 2011 tickets on sale January 29th with the exception of NYY and Flubs games - to even get a chance to buy tickets for those games you have to enter a lottery.

I corrected the Boston Globe who said the Cubs had not played in Boston since 1918 - their last visit was in 1952 ( at Braves Field)

Can we find a way to get *every* Red Sox and Cubs fan in Fenway, put a dome on top, and seal all exits so they can never leave?

Think about how much greater baseball would be!

If the Soxes' brass got together and started marketing our annual series with them as the Battle of the Soxes, it'd be more popular. It's all about marketing.

The flubs are nothing special. They were just marketed better.

I will never understand why the MLB equivilent gets special treatment to the NBA LA Clippers.

Soxes=Sox +Red Sox.

And I'd like to see our annual series with them be more of a big deal, after all we are brothers in sox. Mystical connection there...

Not really

Not really
I was mocking flub fans, I wasn't serious. If we wanted to be weird like them, we can come up with more reasons why we have a connection to the Red Sox. But we don't the inferiority complex that they have.

But for bottom line reasons, it would be in the Soxes' brass' best interest to hype up our "connection".

I get the feeling Cubbie fans will be pining for tickets to this game than Red Sox fans. That way they can join you in person, to share that special bond of brotherhood between the two fanbases.

I am only allowed to buy for one game. There are 9 Yankees games (opening day included) and 3 Cubs games. Maximum of four tickets allowed. Which tickets do you think will be more in demand, opening day or one of the Cubs games?

Well - Opening Day (with NYY) will be huge - but if you walked into one of the storefronts on Addison with 4 Sawx-Flubs tickets in hand - the demand for the Flubs games will be from the Illinois side.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the prices. My bleacher tickets were 28 dollars. I thought that was pretty good for what is probably their highest tiered priced games.

Boston doesn't do tier pricing - all 81 games are PREMIER :tongue:

Bleachers are fine - RF grandstand is the place you want to avoid
