Red Sox for now have dropped plans to widen the bullpens as the landmarks people were screaming.

This is a mild surprise as the team usually gets what it wants.

Won't stop Dunn from launching 'em over that fence. Push it back to 600, Carmines, Dunn will still crush ya!

Probably for the best. The place is already a good hitters park with the Monster, Pesky's Pole, and the complete lack of foul ground. The deep RF wall is one of the few places in the park to keep hitters honest.

Something smells rotten than Boston Harbor about this.

The Red Sox are saying they have put on hold this bullpen project because they would lose a tax break for the park.

Now the Red Sox are spending some $20 million this off-season on park renovations but the bulk of that is for the new HD videoboard with THREE screens. The steelwork is up and the thing is huge....

I took this last week before the mainboard frame went up - the old board is loong gone.

Rebuilding the bullpens in theory shouldn't be that expensive.

Their moving that into the harbor.

Baseball is a religion. If you wanna go and worship, you go to Fenway. Or Wrigley Field, obviously.

The White Sox were wusses for building a new, non-falling-apart stadium with their fancy new walls and what not.
