He's gonna sing? Will he do the National Anthem or 7th Inning Stretch?

Never heard of the website, never heard of the writer, and he didn't quote a source.

All that said, I don't know how Thome helps a National League team at this point unless he's willing to play for free.

First off - who is reporting that? And if it's true - what a terribly awful signing for the Cubs. What a waste of a roster spot on an NL team. They already have Carlos Pena.

The article said he will be singing. Say what you want about the Cubs' organization, but they sure know how to entertain! Thome grew up a Cub fan, so I'm sure he would love being there.

In any capacity.

This guy sounds like 80% of the people who post during the offseason on WSI.

No, come on. Don't insult WSI like that. This guy looks like a ****ing douchebag. That Santo quote sealed the deal.

He also called him "Kerry Woods."

"Dweeb" doesn't even come close to describing this tool.

Actually, go ahead and let them sign him to a big contract...the more money and years, the better! :D: Anything that other teams do to screw up their Series chances, I'm all for.

If he would have played the field occasionally, he may still have been a Sox. I can only see him being like Smoky Burgess and teams dont do that anymore.

I don't think he's owned a glove since the 90's.

While we are reading more about Jim Thome from this extremely trustworthy source, here's another great piece on him from an equally credible source -- http://omgmntwins.blogspot.com/2010/09/jim-thome-facts.html

Enjoy!

That guy's site is ridiculous. There ought to be minimum literacy and intelligence requirements to be a blogger.

Y'all are just giving the dweeb hits which is all he worries about. Stop clicking the links and you'll be smarter for it...

Changed the title of this thread to more accurately describe the situation.

Ya.

Except all that time he spent in Philadelphia.
