#STLCards (http://twitter.com/#%21/search?q=%23STLCards) announce one year deal for Berkman. Call him "outfielder/first baseman" in release. OF likely! #MLB (http://twitter.com/#%21/search?q=%23MLB) #STL (http://twitter.com/#%21/search?q=%23STL)

...can Berkman even play OF anymore? I was under the impression that at this point in his career he was strictly a 1B. I thought he would have chosen an AL team, personally.

Still...if he can stay healthy, he should be a solid pick-up for the Cards.

He says he's healthier than he has been in the past few years and has no issues with playing some outfield again.

He can play the outfield still? Does this mean they are moving Holliday to right field?

Not many are optimistic about him playing the field well, and yes Holliday is moving to RF.

With his awful defense and bat decline, I really don't see him being better than Jon Jay.

Berkman is still good from the left side, it is the right side that is an issue. I think it should be better than Jon Jay.
