There is also a mention of Neal Cotts being signed by the Yanks. (http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/12/white-sox-prospect-recovering-after-spleen-surgery.html)

Oops. I was going to post this yesterday but forgot. Hopefully it gets his ITP under control.

What's this fetish the Yankees have for our departed loogies? That's Marte, Ring, Logan and Cotts. And while he's a righty I may as well throw in Brian Anderson's name here.

They like Chicago guys. Remember, they got Kerry Wood last year and now Rothschild is the Pitching Coach after they were denied the opportunity to talk to Coop about the job.

Update (http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101221&content_id=16353014&vkey=news_cws&c_id=cws). Sounds promising for Phegley's health and ability to keep playing.

Good for Cotts. He would probably be a welcomed addition to their AAA team if he doesn't make the ML club after Spring Training. They could always call him up to replace a struggling reliever or give a short spot start if needed.

A good catching prospect is definitely on the Sox "need" list. Hopefully this helps, and it looks like his platelet count is up. Hopefully this surgery fixes the problem and he can continue to make progress.
