Released by the Pirates; spring training invite? His defense is supposed to be good. Maybe a reunion with his brother?

He was DFA'd by the Pirates. I repeat, DFA'd by the Pirates.

Could've been a financial decision more than a performance decision.....:shoulder shrug:

Mark Derosa was released by a 100+ loss team in Tampa a few years ago, was picked up by Texas and saved his career. **** happens, Laroche will land somewhere.

We should sign his brother to a 2/14 deal.

You're right. The Pirates know talent, so we should heed their judgment.

Morel is a much better option.

The guy has an OPS lower than Omar did. He is a truly terrible baseball player, one of the worst in the big leagues. I just don't get it, first we want Ian Stewart to play 3b, now Andy LaRoche? Unless we land a proven star like Beltre, see what Morel can do.

I's rather have Zach Duke out of that batch. Despite his record, the guy has good stuff.

If you don't like ex-Royals who suck filling up White Sox roster spots, I doubt you'll feel any different about players the Pirates release.

If Danks or Buehrle are dealt this offseason, which probably won't happen, but IF it does, the SOX should sign Zach Duke.
