I'm surprised they think that Alexei would move center in three years. I am hard pressed to think of guys who have made the move from arguable the most important infield position to the most important outfield position. Robin Yount did it I think.

The projection is nothing more then finding a spot for everyone on the field. I would guess maybe 2% of Baseball America thinks it would be a good idea. The only reason it makes sense is because Escobar could be a better defensive SS than Ramirez.

Phil Rogers handles Baseball America's White Sox Top 10 FWIW.

Also, the system falls off a cliff after about 4 or 5 prospects. It's disgusting.

The 2014 projection also means without any trades or FA signings between now and then so it is not to be taken seriously. It's impossible to project such things.

That explains a lot. I'm surprised that Jordan Danks is not in the top 10.

Yeah. That Vazquez trade was a complete train wreck.

Yeah. That Vazquez trade was a complete train wreck.

I dunno...we never have to see Vazquez pitch in a White Sox uniform ever again.

Sounds like a victory to me.

Assuming KW's still at the helm, no way that's the projected lineup across the board.

Definitely. Plus we got 2 weeks of hot Lillibridge this year. Advantage White Sox.

Amazing how last year's golden boys, Flowers and Jordan Danks aren't even considered top 10 White Sox prospects now. Do people really want the Sox to trade all their good players for prospects?

Obviously, it doesn't mean these guys have no chance, but if you are having as much trouble as they are making contact in AAA it really makes it a long shot you will make much contact in the major leagues.

You are being pretty generous.

I wonder what NYY fans think of that assessment.

I don't think you should be. He's done absolutely nothing to warrant consideration.

They must have based the 'Best Prospects of the Decade' on draft position because Clayton Richard should have made that list, especially with his performance the past two years, beginning in the 2008 ALDS.

The list shows you the #1 prospect in the Sox system for the past 10 years and where that player is now. Richard was never a top prospect.
