Formally a top prospect with the Angels. Seems like the typical AAAA player. At least Charlotte Knights fans will have reason to come to the ballpark in 2011.

Knights needed someone after Morel got called up.

A Kenny guy. I remember he was supposed to be pretty big with the Angels and just never figured it out.

I seem to recall this guy hitting the crap out of Buehrle every time he faced him.

Great, the second coming of Mark Teahen.

For some reason I thought "Dallas Braden" from the preview on the main page and was really confused.

Two back surgeries will tend to derail a promising career. He's been nowhere near the same since, but has at least been able to play.

YES! I used to destroy with this guy on MVP Baseball 2005! Check out his minor league stats..he's hit as many as 42 HRs and 126 RBI. And he hit those 42 HRs in 2008. Had 22 HRs and 75 RBI last season.

With all that said, I'd be surprised if he plays with the SOX.

He had 98 RBI during that '08 season, but I believe that's his high in the minors.

Wow!! Our left handed "messiah" has arrived. I'm simply overwhelmed, aren't you?
I guess we can now close the book on the off season, and make plans for the World Series.

He drove in 126 runs in the minors in 2004.

Didn't LAA/LAAA let Glaus go FA anticipating McPherson's arrival?

What's the big deal here? Low risk, low salary player. At best he may put things together and do something at the big league level. At worst, he wastes away in Charlotte.

News Flash - lots of teams sign minor league players this time of year.

All of those posts about people making a big deal out of this must've been deleted. Because not a single person is making a big deal out of this.

Besides the obvious stuff from his big back issues, it seems like his other big problem has always been contact. His strikeout numbers in the minors were always rather high.
