Where?

Except for the rebuilding year of 71 plus 72 and 77 there were not a whole lot of highlights.

I'm guessing the original poster meant this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AicGO_3G78). This retrospective aired on Channel 44 in September 1980, when the station dropped the White Sox contract and converted to ON-TV pay television. Lots of rare footage of Dick Allen, Bill Melton, Bucky Dent, Carlos May, the Southside Hit Men, and the Veeck era.

Would have been so much better with the original play by play rather than music over it.

Note the astroturf on Comiskey Park's infield back in the "red uniform" days.

LOL on Harry catching that foul ball with his net. I remember when that happened.

.

I still have a large chunk of that astro turf when they pulled that up back in Spring of 1976. One of my very few Old Comiskey souvenirs....

Lotsa fun those years--a perfect bracket of my teens as I turned 13 in 73. I must have gone to over 120 games during this timeframe shown.

Lotsa pain, too, as the photo of the 1977 White Sox World Series tickets illustrates.

That's the same time I was 13 too in 1973. I picked up those phantom World Series tickets about 30 years ago at a baseball card show...

Man! I started watching the Sox in the seventies, and I have no memory of that astro turf infield. How long was it in place?

That scoreboard was so fricken awesome....why can't we, at the very least, rig ours up to at least shoot out Roman Candle flairs and get the lights to chase in different directions like the old one did?

That is a great souvenir.

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't get a brick from the original Old Comiskey. I was off at college during the first season of the new park.

Bucky:

It was there from 1970 through 1975 if memory serves.
