With 599 career wins as Manager of the White Sox, Ozzie can finish out the 2010 season with 600 wins today.

600 wins in seven seasons, average of 86 per season. 585 of those were in the months of April, May, June, and July depending on how you look at the dates of the wins.

An average of 86 wins per season is actually pretty good. Most teams don't have the Yankee$ payroll and with good reason -- no one else has the Yankees' local media revenue. Given the Sox' available revenue and their corresponding budget, 86 wins/year is a pretty good result.

With the development of players like Brent Morel, Chris Sale, Dayan Viciedo, Sergio Santos and Gordon Beckham, I am already looking forward to the 2011 White Sox topping the 88 wins that they hopefully will have when the regular season ends today.

Go ahead, wise guy. Laugh all you want, but Ozzie's status as the worst, most incompetent, horribly bad, insipid, godawful manager in the game today (of all time, even) remains no joke! Just take a look at his 0-360 record in AUgust and September, not to mention their 10-500 record since Opening Day 2007. But you laugh. This is no joke, dammit!

Plus only one more ring than the almighty Al Lopez.

Average of only 86 wins, only one World Series win, only two playoff appearances in 7 years on a team that goes decades without seeing the playoffs? Fire Ozzie!

Plus only one more ring than the almighty Al Lopez. Bob Brenly has one more ring than Lopez too. In fact 68 managers have one or more rings than he does.
