:violin:

That's the risk a season ticket holder takes.

No pity here from this season ticket holder. The STH can always go to the game which is what I'm doing. If it's an out-of-town investor STH who buys season tickets to various clubs, suck to be you, but that's the risk you took.

I want to give thanks the Sox.

I've my season tickets in the bleachers. Last night at the game a Sox Rep gave my wife and I tickets in the 138 section Row 1 for no xtra cost.

She also said that the Sox fan trips for next season will be in Colorado, Seattle and New York

Yeah, but he can always sell his Sox/Cubs tickets, Opening Day, or Yankees tickets at a tidy profit so it probably all evens out.

I'd be shocked if there was even one out-of-town "investor" in White Sox tickets. If there is, he won't be in business long.

Signed,

former season ticket holder

Not remotely close to evening out.

All but nine seats in the row in front of me, my row and the row behind me are owned by out of town investors (out of 30 seats). This includes my two seats.

The way it works is they buy season ticket plans for as many MLB teams as possible. Some teams will earn them a profit, some won't. The loss leaders change each season with the rising and falling fortunes of each team.

In that case, consider me shocked. My experience of not being able to give them away from the second half of 2006 through 2007 sucked.

Sold my Cub tickets for almost three times over face within 30 minutes of posting them on StubHub this year. There was no way I was missing the Yankee series, so no attempts were made to sell those.

not even gonna try to sell my tickets for this weekend. It will cost more firing up the computer than what I wil get for the ticket.

Re-read my post. When you have many teams in your pie, some are profitable, some are loss leaders. This is why these are investors, not fans of the team who are trying to unload tickets.

I had to eat three tickets from the 2006 All Star Break through the last game of 2007.:whiner:

I was looking for a single for last nights game and the cheapest Stubhub ticket at that time was only $4; but when you add the Stubhub fees it was $14. I decided to walkup and bought a ticket from the first guy offering in the parking lot for $10.

I think that Stubhub listing was from Gold Coast Tickets. I bought 2 for last night's game for a friend directly from Gold Coast and they were only $4 each no fees. On Tuesday the tix were so cheap I left the stadium and bought another ticket to get back in just to get another bobblehead. I got sec 136 row 17 for $10.

I sold my Cubs tix for 3Xs the face.

I sold my Yankees for around slightly below 4Xs face.

I couldnt sell for the Red Sox series, so I guess I had to go to a baseball game. Oh well.
