Where are you staying in Florida. Its a lot easier to get to the Trop if you are coming from the south over the Sunshine skyway bridge.

I'm near Venice. Stubhub seems the way to go. Thanks.

Pregame and postgame- Ferg's is the place to go. Sports bar, good atmosphere, across the street from the ballpark. If you're not into libations they have plenty of seating for lunch/dinner. You can also park in their lot prior to the game.

Once inside there are more restauants (one of them is at the Batters Eye, which might still have open buffets prior to first pitch), a 'Ray Tank' where kids can view live rays, a cigar bar, and a Florida Baseball museum. Should have plenty of things to check out prior to the game.

Unless it's an actual sellout (check first) you can go the StubHub route or walk up to the window on gameday. Have fun!

Thats good ,just take I-75 to I-275 over the bridge and 5 minutes later you will be at the ballpark. After the game 90% of the traffic heads north to Tampa but it will be a breeze going south back to Venice. Getting out of the parking lots just like at any other sports venue is a pain.

Thanks everyone for the info. One question. Do you have access to everywhere in the park if you buy upper deck tickets?
