If he can do it, give TCQ and Viciedo a mitt, please.

Quentin already has a glove he doesn't know how to use. Doesn't need another one.

I'm not sure about Quentin, but it's been said Viciedo will likely make the move to 1B. It's hard to tell, in his brief time here, he's shown flashes of having really soft hands and other team, looking like he's wearing cinder blocks for gloves.

Lee was a 3B to begin with. Viciedo fits the mold, but our current Carlos might not be the same fit.

Are you talking about Carlos Lee? His Baseball-Reference.com page shows no evidence he every played third?

Left field, some DH, and some rare stints at first.

He was almost exclusively a 3B throughout the minors.

Gotcha, didn't understand that's what was being referred to.

Either way, 1B isn't such a stretch for a Left fielder. Especially on a team that's out of it... maybe they're trying out other players in left?

So why don't the Sox, who've been out of it for 3 weeks, try it?

Thought that would be the other way. The Astros are giving Brett Wallace tons of playing time at 1B. Not sure why they'd change that up and put Lee at first, unless it's just temporary.

Yes, the astros are giving all of their young players a chance to play.
Williams and Guillen are doing the opposite: they refuse to play young players. And the Astros have been playing their ass off for 3 months. T

Why is it that everyone on here thinks 1B is an easy position? Why do we continue to say, well such and such should move there?

Because it is. It's definitely one of the easiest to learn, that's for sure.

Yeah. Morel playing every day now and the Sox sticking with Beckham this spring despite struggles that most teams would have demoted him for are sure signs of not playing young players.

As is playing Kotsay, Teahen, Vizquel, AJ et al during garbage time, instead of Viciedo and Flowers.

Who the hell else would have played? There is zero depth.
