Supposedly there is no doubt that Omar is out at the end of the year.

Towers, Byrnes, and our own Rick Hahn are the top candidates to take over apparently.

I'm crossing my fingers that Hahn takes over for Kenny though.

Takes over for Kenny? Where's Kenny going?

There has been much speculation throughout this year that Kenny will move up to a VP position a la Paxson and the Bulls.

Will someone please explain to me what everyone sees in Hahn? I sat in on a conference call with him this Spring Trainging and he vehemently defended the Teahen deal (both the trade and the extension). He wasn't just towing the company line here, he was taking it personally when someone suggested that Mark Teahen, ah, what's the word? Sucks?

I don't see how the Sox get any better by cleaning house (as some want) and then turn around and give the reins to an in-house guy (as the same people generally want).

Really? Why? He's a great GM. What would the difference be between a VP and a GM anyway?
