Does anyone know if the 2011 schedule is going to be announced this week? My conspiracy theory- when sending a Google search on '2011 MLB schedule release date' several forums are saying it will be announced on 9/15 (although nothing close to an official news release). My DirecTV mobile app has blocked off the ability to record between 2pm-3pm Eastern time on Wednesday. This is the only show that's blocked off for the next several weeks.

For those interested in getting a sneak peek at the schedule it might be coming soon.

The Sox open in Cleveland on April 1st. The home opener is the following Thursday with Tampa Bay. The season ends in the middle of the week next year in order to start the post season earlier.

The Sox host Washington, the Cubs and the Dodgers in interleague play and go to the Cubs, Arizona and either San Diego or San Francisco.

They don't go to SD or SF, they go to Colorado according to a person within the Sox organization.

Hope so! My sister lives in Denver, that'd be an excuse to go out there [not that I need one].

I was hoping for an AZ then SF/SD road trip. When I heard Colorado, I was not happy!

Denver is a nice place. In ranking possible NL West destinations based on how much I'd like to go there and see the Sox play, I'd say...

1) San Francisco
1b) Denver
1c) San Diego

50) Los Angeles

8,029,982) Phoenix

In terms of desirable destinations, I'd agree with this. Though I actually like [visiting] LA.

Hmmm. I was also hoping for a SD/SF trip, but nothing wrong with Colorado at all. Tons to do, tons to see, and Blake Street. The Arizona series is scheduled for 6-17 to 6/19 (per a Mark Gonzales tweet), so maybe this will be a weekday series?

The only reason why Denver would be the greatest destination for the Sox is the fact that Salt Lake City does not have a MLB team.

The entire schedule is now up on the team websites- click on schedule and select 2011 in the drop down box on the top. Not sure if every team is up, the several I checked are (including the Sox).

Looks like we have 2 sets of 4 games with Tampa and another set of 4 with New York in April.

That should be fun...
