Day-to-day, x-rays negative. According to ESPN1000.

Thank goodness.

I imagine that the guy who thought it was funny telling Gordon that his hand was broken is lucky that the hand didn't get fractured breaking his jaw .. Beckham was not amused ..

Sounds as good as we could hope for after seeing it happen.

Lillibridge makes me very nervous at 2B. I'm hoping Ozzie considers moving Vizquel to second and inserting Teahen at third until Beckham is ready to go. Teahen is no great shakes defensively, but 2B is a far more important defensive position than 3B.

Whoever thought it would be a good joke to tell him his hand was broken should be fired. I love jokes, but someone in the medical field should never make a joke about your health. Glad to hear he will be OK. I thought it would be broken when I was watching the game.

Definitely not an Ozzie type of move. A logical move, but he won't do it. Omar is staying at 3B.

I really don't think it's the logical move either. Lillibridge is, at least, OK at 2B. I know he made that critical error last night, but it's not like that was a routine play that he just screwed up. Teahen, OTOH, is awful at 3B. At best, it's a pick your poison scenario. I really don't think you can go right or wrong when your options are giving Mark Teahen or Brent Lillibridge multiple, consecutive starts.

Lillibridge is not even close to being an "ok" second baseman. Have you watched him turn a double play? His foot work is bad and his arm is way below average.

Um, no. He's clueless at 2B.

Lillibridge is fine at 2B, yes he has no arm, but that's why he's at 2B. I'm not saying he's going to win a Gold Glove, but the alternative is Mark Teahen at 3B. I'll stick with Lillibridge.

You could also call up Brent Morel tomorrow and play him at 3rd with Omar at 2nd.

I agree, that is completely ridiculous. Imagine, you've just gotten hit in the hand with a baseball and you are in significant pain. I enjoy a good joke as much as anyone, but that is not even remotely funny. Talk about unprofessional.

im surprised gordon isn't missing the rest of the season, but hes a tough son of a bitch, although the games without his bat and glove could really hurt us his defensive range has improved tremendously this year
