Danny Wright (:whiner:) vs. Kyle Lohse

I remember attending this game, it was a good one

I'm watching it right now. I forgot how terrible Konerko was that year. And that we had Brian Daubach.

And that Carl Everett played CF. I don't remember that at all. Why wasn't he in the Alex Rios, best defensive CF poll?

I believe Paulie redeems himself later in this game. Stay tuned.

And a much skinnier Joe West was the home plate ump. He ejected Jerry Manuel in the 1st inning :D:

I also forgot how much I hated watching Danny Wright be awful. And boy, US Cellular used to be ugly. Very very ugly.

Oh no, a Rick White sighting.

I was an eternal optimist back then and even I thought the game was over

LaSalle Bank, ATA, and Fox Sports Chicago. None of them exist in those forms anymore.

No doubt.

And that kid who wanted fireworks was so cute!

I like to think his stache was au naturel though.

That would have been an ultimate "stretch" call for Hawk there. Shame.

:rolling::rolling::rolling:

Lohse threw one at Frank's head. Frank stares out at him and hits one over 400 feet on the next pitch!

I miss watching Frank in a Sox uniform. Whole reason I became a Sox fan.

I'm not sure why CSN doesn't run more of these games, even in the off-season. This is is a blast to watch.

Thank God we are done with the Danny Wright segment of the broadcast. Awful.

It's gotta be money reasons. The infomercials are brutal.

Home run or bust with this offense

I just turned it on and heard "Breaking ball gets away from Pierzynski" and I thought "he wasn't on the team in '03." Weird to see him in a Twins uniform.

Johan santana in the pen for the twins.

I may be in the minority in that I liked those uniforms.

And I know I'm in the minority that I liked Brian Daubach.

Look at all those people in the crowd, totally unsuspecting that in just two years, the Sox would be World Series champs. :gulp:

I was thinking the very same thing!

I also jumped up outta my seat the first time AJ (then playing for the Twins) came up to bat. AJ looked icky in that Twins uniform, that's for sure.

Now, I'm enjoying watching the rest of this game while doing stuff around the house. Thanks, Comcast!

This team was pretty good. Really should have had another starter, though.

Could have gone deep into the playoffs with better pitching. The closer situation was a mess all year, and the 4th and 5th starter spots were shaky. The 5th spot was a glaring hole.

Ugh, the offense was ok, but that might be the worst team up the middle I have seen. An old Roberto Alomar, Jose Valentin and Carl Everret in CF?

I had no idea Morneau was on the '03 Twins team. Glad to see he still had that pale glow back then.

True but we don't need 7 SportsRISEs and 7 Sportsnights either.....I think it's a good idea (and open it up to all markets please!).

That was fun to watch.

MLB Network showed classic games during the offseason last year and I hope they do it again this year. Those games are fun to watch in the winter when you start to miss baseball. My favorite was the White Sox/Red Sox game from Opening Day '81.
